At The Women’s Clinic of Kansas City, we diligently follow all guidelines provided under HIPAA laws. We ask of you only information relevant to managing your care and will protect your data by reasonable security safeguards against theft or unauthorized access.
At your visit, we will provide you with our notice of privacy practices so you can be confident of how we might use and disclose your information and how you can get access to your health records.
State Laws & Your Rights
Missouri and Kansas both have state laws to help ensure that the decisions you make about your health care are well-informed decisions should you be considering abortion.

Missouri

- Informed Concent – Section 188.027.1(2), RSMo, requires specific information be given to women considering an abortion. See the Missouri Informed Consent Booklet for information.
Kansas
- Overview
- Your Right to Know – According to The “Woman’s-Right-to-Know” Act, K.S.A. 65-6708, thru 65-6710, the information in the Kansas Department of Health’s handbook entitled “If You Are Pregnant” must be given to women considering an abortion.
